I would like to answer some more or less frequently asked questions here, as well as giving you an insight about my motivations and inspirations. [to be continued]
- Were all designs on this website made by you?
If not stated otherwise or in obvious cases, yes. In the rare case when a design is not by me, there will be a caption or label, as well as a remark in the blog post. - I have a blog, website, business,… myself and I am still looking for a logo/ need some help with design issues. Can you help me?
Drop me a line (peter@crackedrock.at) and we’ll try to figure something out. Please keep in mind, though, that I am not a full time, professional graphics designer. - I like your designs and would like to share them online or use them for my own (commercial) purposes.
Just write me an email with what you have in mind. Please check also the impressum & copyright section for further information. - Some of your ideas already exist.
- Did you not know about already existing products/designs?
I don’t always do extensive research before publishing my designs/ideas. So probably I just had the same idea as someone else before without being aware. Sometimes I might also take up existing designs/products and try to improve them.
On one hand it is always a little disappointing to find out someone has had an idea before and that you did not come up with something revolutionary. On the other hand it shows that one seems to tackle the right problems. - Why didn’t you mention already existing products?
I may not have been aware of the already existing product or there might be numerous differences between the product and the idea. If you think I am missing out on something you can drop me a line. - Why did you mention only certain brands?
I only mention brands in order to give you examples of already existing solutions/products and do not intend to make a full list of themIf not mentioned otherwise it is coincidence which brands are chosen as represenatives e.g. because I have heard of them before or they showed up first in a search engine. I also may chose examples which I think resemble my idea best.If you think I am missing out on something you can drop me a line.

- What does the catption tbc stand for?
tbc means to be continued and is used for ideas I’d like to take up again sometime in the future.
